Open and participatory session on Palestinian gastronomy
Activity open to everyone and free or charge with limited capacity to 25 people
The travelling kitchen is one of the initiatives of the Santa Mònica Gastronomy Guild, a space for processual experimentation where we invite groups to cook, share references, imagine and try flavours together.
On Wednesday 14 February we will be putting Palestinian gastronomy on the table in this open and participatory cooking session. The cook and anti-racist activist Mohammad Alsharqawi, a Syrian-Palestinian refugee, will lead this session where we will prepare different dishes from his region: Maqluba of rice and aubergine, and different salads that we will prepare among all the people who want to come to Santa Mònica, while we reflect on the importance of gastronomic culture for the Palestinian people and from Alsharqawi's point of view we approach the complex situation that Palestine is living.
