What role does Desire play in prison, and how is it experienced? Desig i presó (Desire and prison) is a podcast by Mery Cuesta that offers a series of three conversations on the occasion of the exhibition Time Machines: Redrawing the Past and Fabulating the Future in Prison, an exhibition lived and intensely desired. Sailing the seas of exotic music, Mery and her companions share the keys to the exhibition, and some reflections on the magic of affection and the transformative power of art in the penitentiary system.
Episodes available online through XRCB, IVOOX and Spotify.
An open-hearted conversation about the processes that have given rise to Time Machines, a review of a fast-paced period of time that makes it clear that the best definition of the exhibition is "jumble of humanity".
Who are they, where do they come from and where are the artistic technicians of penitentiary centres going? We talked to Sonia, Angela and David, the fundamental keys to bringing artistic proposals to people deprived of their liberty, motivating them, accompanying them and producing a return.
From the Radio Workshop of the Quatre Camins Penitentiary Centre, we talk to three artists in prison who have participated in the exhibition Time Machines. Through their voices, we talk about the possibility of travelling backwards and forwards in time, and we note the importance of artistic creation in prison.
