Tela Des-bordada

Tela Des-bordada is the construction of an anti-monument in the form of a collective textile manifesto that will bring together the voices of the communities that inhabit the space of Las Ramblas and its surroundings to revise the historical narratives and recover the power of weaving other stories. Visitors to the exhibition will also be able to sew, embroider and leave their contribution. Why do we want to sew together?

- For the joy and enjoyment of weaving relationships.

- To cover up the Columbus monument and uncover it.

How are we going to do it? We will work collectively. To do this, we have created an open workshop with sewing machines where anyone who wants to participate can join in and leave their mark. We will start creating pieces of fabric 1.70m. wide and unlimited in length by gathering scraps of fabric. These pieces can be embroidered, knitted, painted, sewn or sewn on. Once we have the pieces, all the remnants will be put together to form a large fabric.

Will you join us? There will be sewing sessions open to everyone every Wednesday from 16h to 20h and Thursday from 11h to 14h.
