Tour of the extensive geography formed by the waters in Las Ramblas territory. Between the Montjuïc mountain and the Mont Tàber hill lies a privileged area of the Barcelona Plain, where the first human settlements took place. We will venture into the abyss by crossing the large lagoon, walking along the streams, and descending to the aquifers, many of which are still present under the surface of the streets. The discovery of these spaces transports us to the paradise that hides under the asphalt; a rich and fertile lake landscape of ponds next to the sea. The tour will visit places and communities that hold the memory of water, whose presence is evidenced and somehow conditions this place in the city. Its urban planning, its social history, and even historical events are permeable to its narrative. It is planned to visit, among other places: Sant Pau del Camp, the Liceu, the Boquería fountain, the Orient hotel, the Ferran metro station, and the Columbus Tower.
The water's spectral route is part of the research Water snakes: the hidden streams of Barcelona.
