Presentació Periódico Pre-visión

The presentation of issue 0 of Periódico Pre-visión consists of the activation, from the diaspora and in the context of Las Ramblas, of the first press organ of black people in Latin America (1908-2023). Recovering the tradition of the corrillos or Rotllanes (cercles) of the Ramblas, this activation emerges as a fiction-mutation that aims to open a space for meeting, discussion, reflection and a loudspeaker for the black, migrant and racialised community. In an exercise of decentralisation of the colonial gaze, this newspaper, with a vocation for continuity, takes the historical initiative of the past to rewrite narratives of the present and create possible scenarios for the future of our community.
