Community theater at Les Rambles
Activity open to everyone and free of charge
The Assemblea d’Artistes d’Utopia Rambles wants to revive the love between the Ramblas and the Theater. The Festival has been organized and curated together with Arnau Itinerant, which for years has been reviving the same flirtation that theater has with the Paral·lel, in a story of class struggle, love, masks, and historical memory.
We call for the Festival Principal (Main Festival). We take the name of the city's first theater, now closed and waiting for its reopening not to be a betrayal of love or a cohabitation marriage. We take the neighbors who do theater to the streets. We recover the carnival, performative, and combative Ramblas. We have a party, that is, an act of love.
Schedule:
11am El Sol d'Ocanha: Opening and tribute to Ocanha
12pm Carabutsi: Flamenco box workshop and rumba concert
1pm Lunch at La Negreta. Agreed menu to be paid by each participant
4pm Gesto Común: Performative exercise
4:30pm La Llama: Hip-hop and Freestyle Jam
6pm Desnonissea. (Roger Bernat + ERRO Grupo) - The eviction, the most represented performance in our countries, becomes an epic poem written by Núria Martínez-Vernis and Oriol Sauleda, read (and represented) by the audience.
7pm The unbearable banality of the topic: Theater forum by Teatre Pa'Tothom
8pm Doña Rosita la soltera: Dramatized reading
9pm De(s)generades de Raval Cuir: transformist show by Ateneu del Raval and Drag is Burning

An initiative by Utopia Rambles
With the collaboration of Teatre Arnau Itinerant
What you see in Arnau, you won't see anywhere else. Our will to transform the neighborhood's theatrical space, with the neighborhood, drives us. We generate a grassroots popular culture, networked with local organizations. We don't count full seats because we don't believe culture should be an economic resource. We work on theatrical proposals where working conditions for professionals are fair and equal. This is our rebellion and our achievement.
