Dispositiu de Reperformativització de Canaletes

The Rambla de Canaletes is a vertex from which the old wall was crossed and the suburbs were accessed. Later, a boundary from which the city would stick its head out into the abyss of the infinite plan of an Eixample to be urbanised. The Rambla de Canaletes is liminal, interstice, transitoriness, a space for the political thing, from the construction of citizenship, a space of performativity.

Reperformativisation Device of Canaletes n. 1 is an attempt to recover the circles of citizen debate that, for years, spontaneously occupied Canaletes. With this purpose, Reperformativisation Device of Canaletes n. 1 invites citizens to participate in a weekly debate circle in Canaletes to discuss strategies for the recovery of the debate circles in Canaletes.

Every Sunday in April and May at 12 noon, meeting point at the Canaletes Fountain. This Sunday, 16 April, Xavier Theros, the Barcelona chronicler, will talk to us about the history of the Rambles as a place for gatherings and popular debate in cafés, bars and in the street.
