If the trope Europe ceases to exist, our paths become interwoven like a kind of African cosmogram. Sugar is the substrate of Caribbean identity. The rewound videos, in which sugar falls from the bodies as they dance, are an exorcism of coloniality. The bodies of the elderly move with traditional Afrodiasporic rhythms, such as gagá and palo. Meanwhile, young people dance to the beat of urban music from Haiti and the Dominican Republic. A soundscape that invites a return to the beginning.
