Nitzayra Leonor
Obra
Taking these two media, one arriving with colonisation (engraved) and the other practised by the inhabitants of the indigenous settlements of the archipelago (ceramic), I answer the questions: What would the world be like if Europe were to disappear? What would it be like if it had never existed? Avoiding a linear narrative and the traditional coherence to which we are accustomed, I will construct figurative and non-figurative images of how our marronage felt, feels and will feel; as the worlds we create were seen, are seen and will be seen.
