Tala | Rhythms of the gods is therefore a trip to an indescribable universe that approaches subjectively a small part of the Hindu musical universe. Between inside and outside the truth is that music is a means of talking with our soul.
The film is basically a result of a trip to meet musicians from India and with the aim to explore there vision about Indian music and how it is connected with the sacred universe of the Hindu Culture.
In order to connect and understand some processes in Indian musics in a freely and spontaneously way, we discovered during the musical journey that in Hindu culture, especially Hindu classical music, Tala meant the rhythm, the pulse of life and the spirituality experience through music, taking as a symbol of devotion, love and freedom that underlies the relationship between music and Human being.
