Festival of Contemporary Culture in the Empordà at Arts Santa Mònica
Exhibition
Ingràvid is dedicated to the production and promotion of projects in contemporary cultural. The essence of Ingràvid is to encourage the collaboration of individuals not related to the field of culture with a wide selection of creators, thinkers, researchers, artists and cultural agents. The aim of the project is double. On the one hand, Ingràvid seeks to bring contemporary creation to the attention of a wider public. On the other hand, it strives to encourage questions, problems, solutions and reflections on current society on a local and global level.
Ingràvid returns to Arts Santa Mònica to offer us a taste of the upcoming festival, to be held in Figueres, in the Empordà region, October 8-12, 2016.
3rd Open Call for Multidisciplinary Artists
The third edition of Ingràvid in Barcelona seeks to place even greater emphasis on what we call the Ingràvid formula, with the goal of connecting social, work-related and economic sectors through creativity and artistic production.
This year, therefore, we present the third edition of the Ingràvid Arts-Santa Mònica open call. The format is open to all disciplines, with programming accented by live, cutting-edge performances to be seen in the cloister (the Claustre) of Arts Santa Mònica, in this way contributing to the event’s character as a festival.
The winners:
Diagnosticant alcoholisme by Mar Canet i Varvara Guljajeva
Land of Speculation by Sergi Selva
All You Need is Hate by Manoli Mansilla
All told, the Ingràvid presence in Barcelona refines a model, which while still remaining peripheral and on the edge, plays a vibrant role in the city, building dialogue and working in favour of social cohesion without losing the sense of avant-garde risk at the heart of contemporary creation.
