Exhibition
It all began on February 18, 1965. Radioscope, one of the most popular Catalan radio programmes, was broadcasting live from the Radio Barcelona Toresky studio. That morning, Salvador Escamilla presented a youngster from the town of Poble Sec who had written a few songs in Catalan. In the space of a few weeks, the then-unknown Joan Manuel Serrat went on to record his first album. He joined the Els Setze Jutges group of singers and started giving his first public concerts.
Serrat: 50 years of songs reflected not only through music, but also through objects, images, musical instruments, albums, literature, small and large memories; fragments of our most recent history grouped around nine moments chosen to catapult us towards his work, his lifetime.
The exhibition that will be presented at the ASM is a recognition of these fifty years of poetry and songs and Serrat's entire legacy to a significant group of contemporary musicians.
