Kangaroos quartet presents “A la Rambla de caps, mans i peus”
General public
Free entry, limited capacity
Kangaroos is a heterogeneous sound quartet that moves in leaps and bounds between guided improvisation and life composing. The spirit of freedom, playfulness and the search for genuine musical expression is the cornerstone of their work. Formed by different musicians from the city's avant-garde scene: Adele Madau, electric violin, Mireia Tejero, alto saxophone, Miquel Jordà, multi-instrumentalist and David Garcia, electric guitar and conducting.
Mireia Tejero
Saxophonist, composer and performer. Her free and non-conformist spirit marks her musical trajectory that leads her to investigate and work on music from a different point of view.
Her compositions, actions and performances go beyond music itself: she creates synergies and complicities with different artistic disciplines, she is committed to rigorous improvisation and assumes the risk and richness that this entails.
She has been and continues to be the driving force behind various multidisciplinary groups that emphasise the creative role of women. Composer and regular performer of the Sol Picó Dance Company with the shows One Hit Wonder, El Lago de las Moscas, La Prima de Chita, La Mujer carece o Barbie Superetar, Amor Diesel, DVA, Del Planeta Basura, Razona la vaca, Spitbrides .
