Taking as a starting point the films PostalLa muchedumbre reaparecerá siempreAnte el dolor de las demás y Esa fugaz esencia que dejaron los sucesos, filmmaker Carolina Astudillo Muñoz invites us to reflect on memory and landscape, and on how to work with these dimensions through images.

Her work explores how landscapes, loaded with diverse meanings, resignify themselves with the passage of time, transforming themselves into scenarios where the traces of the events may remain hidden or appear as veiled signs. Her work is also a gesture of resistance against oblivion.

In this process, memory ceases to be just a passive record and becomes an active tool to re-signify spaces, times and lives, inviting us to recognize the multiple layers of meaning that inhabit each place.
