I was on a journey, in a village without light, the candle lit, and the insects began to give themselves over to the fire just like that... the rest was an inevitable consequence. This is how Luiza Fagá's Tánato was born.

Mónica Carballo describes a desolate peripheral landscape, a threatening sky and a strange celestial body (red in reality) that approaches. This is the premise of a journey into the unknown. Towards a planet that exposes its decaying, decadent, life-filled beauty. Where infinity is brief. Just at the point where sometimes reality surpasses science fiction. From humour, delving deep to expand.

Journey to the centre of a Planet is an audiovisual piece made by collage. It is made up of multiple personal archives of images and ambient sounds, combined to give rise to another world.

Both directors will dialogue between their creations, making us participants in every detail of their filmic journeys.
