Activity free of charge with prior registration
A workshop that brings together professionals and specialists in indigenous cinema to identify the challenges of the present and the future. The day will consist of a first morning session, closed to the public, in which a workshop will be held to debate the key areas of indigenous cinema, such as creation, technical resources, distribution and critical analysis. The second afternoon session, open to the public, will present current projects that will bring us closer to the processes of creation, organisation and dissemination of indigenous cinema. This indigenous event at the festival is essential to generate networks, build the key points and defining elements of indigenous cinema.
Timetable:
From 15:00h to 16:00h: Presentations of projects in person.
From 16:00h to 17:00h: Presentations of online projects
XVII IndiFest Barcelona Indigenous Film Festival
IndiFest focuses on bringing the film production of Indigenous Peoples closer, showing films made through the eyes of the filmmakers, producers and indigenous communities themselves, enhancing their voice and representativeness. A cinema marked by collective and community production, which tells their own stories and stories, while also being a tool for defending rights and denouncing injustices. IndiFest is organised by alternativa Intercanvi amb Pobles Indígenes.
