Open and free activity with limited capacity, without prior registration
We will share a time in which we will have time to rejoice in our physiological dimension, our earthly dimension and our cosmic dimension as well. We will move from breathing to movement and imagination and fasciae and writing and calligraphy and invocation and magick as if it were nothing, from one thing to the next with complete brazenness, because we will not believe that they are separate things or disciplines or difficult things at all. We will practise those simple practices which, being at our fingertips, expand them and make us go beyond our everyday corporealities.
Carne Viva is a stable group working on body, discomfort and political imagination for the creation of tools for somatic and emotional care. One Thursday a month we open Carne Viva for all those who want to connect with matter, flesh and breath.

"Itxaso Corral Arrieta, a living organism that began to organise itself from the passionate meeting of an immunologist and a bacteriologist. During my childhood and adolescence I walked a lot in the Basque mountains learning about mycology, botany, meteorology, grammar, magic, gastronomy... I unfold as an artist and develop my work in the environments and contours of the Living Arts, Performance, Physiology, Writing, Publishing, Educational contexts and Research in the Arts. Graduate in Journalism and Performing Arts, Basque Country, Diploma in Film and Performance Studies, University of Kent, England and École de Théatre Jacques Lecoq, Paris. I have completed a Masters in Performing Arts Practice at the UCLM and Museo Reina Sofía, Madrid and the PEI, Independent Studies Programme at MACBA in Barcelona. Currently, I am part of the education team at MACBA, participating in various educational, experimental and performative proposals, and I also coordinate the En Familia programme. I collaborate regularly with La Caldera, a centre for dance creation, and with its editorial line Lo Otro. Together with the artist Anabella Pareja we conceived Hemos perdido el cosmos where we practice "cosmic tiny skills" in the form of publications-interventions about performative and intuitive states. I am currently developing a series of performative actions, Botanografías Callejeras, in relation to the plants that grow in the urban environment and our life in inevitable atmospheric immersion, and I am also working on my PPhD (Paranormal Doctoral Thesis) in which I research on permeHabilities, inBocations and calligraphies. Now, in addition, I am a new mother, that is to say, recently reborn: I have just become a baby".
One Thursday a month at 11am, in the exhibition spaces of Santa Mònica, we open Carne Viva for all those who want to connect with matter, flesh and breath.
Carne Viva is born as an initiative of the Participation Guild, as part of the actions of a device / space / zone of collective learning to take care of our mental health and meet with our senses.
