Performing Curation 2023

Human emotions are being blocked by the society in which we live, it is difficult for us to communicate emotionally because for decades they have been putting a grey veil on what represents us as human beings.

¿Dónde estás, corazón? (Where are you, heart?) is a journey into all the emotional worlds of the human being; a performance by Begoña Grande who, accompanied by the musical creator Jarjor and the producer Remy Risso, creates a sound dialogue and reflection on human emotions.

The performance is constructed in two parts: an individual and a group experience.

In the first part, 28 people are invited to individually experience a 15-minute performance that, as in an emotional cabinet, asks us: Where is the reflection of what I feel? How do I react to the circumstances I observe?

The second part is a group performance, at 7 p.m., open to the general public, which will culminate in an artistic reflection on human emotions based on the experiences lived during the 7 hours in the initial phase.

Begoña Grande
Artist/self-taught and revolutionary. Although she was born in Guipúzcoa, Begoña also feels Mexican, as she lived there for 20 years. She seeks the freedom of the soul through performance and poetry. She fights for the survival of art as medicine.
Her work is a continuous mutation, a paralysis between time and space, a transparent reflection. The restlessness to find something beyond, to break the schemes established by society, lead him to the detailed study of the action/reaction of these same schemes, thus discovering the immense love of the System-humanoid.
After a few years where fears and loneliness were his best companions, he decides to start working with the video performance format; one of his works "vacío" was named as the most representative video of Bizarre Art in the short film festival "Caostica V" Bilbao. From then on he continues his path working with great artists at national and international level and in places such as Chicago, Houston, London, Portugal, Poland. She ventures to experiment with performance in its purest state, at this moment she investigates the modified states of consciousness, and works in the association Alter Conscientes, co-founder of the Osa Polar Espacio Creativo, audiovisual producer and manager of artistic residencies. She is responsible for the production of the Festival del Monte and the Insular Akanari festival. She directs the Tiempo Sur short film festival on the island of La Palma.

Jarjor
Experimental music artist, noise maker born in Madrid and based in London. Architect by profession and amateur guitarist. His first contact with electronic music is established in the underground of Madrid, fleeing from punk he DJs at raves in 2007. Escaping from the corset of rhythm, he came into contact with the world of performance to become independent towards a drone and dark ambient sound. He establishes a dialogue between the beautiful and the occult, without sticking to the basic concepts of beauty. A search for the sublime from an inner enquiry. He has lived in Madrid, Palermo, Singapore, Malvern (the English countryside) and currently lives in London. He has played in more than a Madrid open field..., for international performance artists such as Ignacio Galilea, Begoña Grande and Congelada de Uva. Analogue and digital frequencies from where words are not enough. Life is thick, dense in a single shot. We are those vibrating wires.
