We are a space for community debate and reflection from which to question and overflow current forms of knowledge, creating a periodic study group, a small community where we can think and act together in times that are dangerously unpromising. We propose to activate a learning device to take care of ourselves collectively. We take the form of an open study group (or a deformed study group, as some of the people who have passed through here prefer to call it), where we hold periodic meetings where we dialogue with different invited agents.
Together with Jara Aithany Pérez we are going to explore the politicisation of psychological distress as a way of confronting the psychologising current that focuses all responsibility on the individual. We will look for ways of analysing the suffering that befalls us on a systemic and structural level and we will investigate how the collective can also confront these discomforts.
Jara Aithany Pérez has a degree in psychology from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. She is the author of 'La locura como superpoder' published in 2019 by Cúpula Libros (Planeta), she coordinates the Fanzine Fango in which different writers talk about their suffering and emotional vulnerability. During 2019 - 2020 she carried out the project @enelfango. A public space on social networks aimed at making emotional discomfort visible. She is currently researching and writing about issues related to grief.
