This sensory guided tour is the final activity of the Perceptual Studies Group during the exhibition "The tradition that runs through us". Each participant in the group will propose an accessible activity for the visually impaired and the general public, to perceive the pieces from alternative sensory perspectives.
The preponderance of images and vision as the hegemonic sense in our society became evident some time ago. Contemporary art continues to be primarily visual, but what possibilities of alternative sensory perceptions can we explore from visual disabilities and diversities, and what inspirations and reflections can this diverse link with art provoke?
During the encounters we rehearsed and encouraged alternative relationships that would transport the pieces exhibited at the Santa Monica to other sensitive areas. In this last session we will share what inspired these activations.
The accessibility of the activity includes: wheelchair access, live audio-description of the exhibited pieces, tactile elements for everyone or touchable for anyone who wants them, accessible toilet. Please consult any situation that is not being taken into account in this description.

A painting of two pink silhouettes on a full yellow background framed in a cyan rectangle. One of the figures is taller and larger, the other smaller. The difference in size could refer to a different distance of each figure from the viewer.
In the pink colouring that makes up the body of each figure, one can make out lines that seem to indicate the ribs, the separation of the arms of the torso, and even some fingers. Around the silhouettes, the pink colour is diluted towards the yellow of the background with a small blurred aura.
