Object prototype for public filtration of interviews conducted in the research Social (Contact) lift
Lift-Leaks is a confidential document that was lost in the Sala Bar at Santa Mònica. We hope that the people who frequent the place will help us to find it.
Lift-Leaks aims to make public the data collected in the public and space study activity called Social (Contact) Lift: "Do you come here often?" carried out in December 2022 and between April and May 2023. Through the transcriptions of the interviews conducted for a specific interaction with the people in the street and the public of Santa Mònica, and making use of ethnographic, invisibility and observational methodologies, the spontaneous perceptions of people and visitors about the street, the city, art and Santa Mònica are collected. Lift-Leaks is an object prototype that continues the long-term study on public and spaces, promoted by the Gremio de Espacios (Pedro Bennaton and Anna Solanilla) in the framework of their artistic research Situated Observations to find performative strategies to diminish or relativise the distance between the Santa Mònica and its surroundings.
