An experiential workshop to explore community self-management of farewells and the sovereignty of death, we will offer a space to reflect on alternatives to the conventional funeral model. Through participatory dynamics, we will discover the cracks in the current system and the possibilities of constructing personalised rituals that align with our wishes and values. A collective journey to rethink the way we say goodbye, giving the power to decide back to individuals and communities.

Som Provisionals is a Catalan non-profit association that works to build a support network to care for dying with love and in community. We want to live with conscience and sovereignty, and that is why we care for the stage of dying by promoting self-management and collective empowerment, building alternatives in a funeral industry and an economic system that commodify life at the expense of the welfare of people and the Earth.
