Portico of the Ministry of Agriculture, which in 1939 founded the National Colonisation Institute for internal colonisation which imitated the model of Mussolini's bonifiche. This, as is well known, led to the major problems we have today at the agro-industrial level in regions such as Almería, Huelva, León and Badajoz. As well as being the most exploited regions, so are the seasonal workers who work in these areas. Daniel de la Barra is interested in thinking about what is happening with the historical memory of the countryside. The urban centres always think of removing a monument or changing the name of a street, but the countryside functions as it was founded by the most atrocious dictatorial processes of the 20th century (and the colonies), and the same logic continues to be reproduced.
