The speed at which the spotlights move is that of human walking, inviting us to move at the same speed as the speed of light. So one could imagine that the rhythm at which the piece moves is the speed of light, and that the vision is indeed from the point of view of light. But, paradoxically, what we feel is that what moves is the environment, while the light always remains static.

It is as if the whole museum were driven by the rails on which the spotlights are fastened. It is the paradox of light travelling.

Max Milà Serra (1994) draws his practice from daily life, nature, and the built world, which he transforms through light and motion in an effort to reach a deeper understanding of them. His works are installations, light instruments, lit objects, and light- emitting objects that come alive through movement.
