In the framework of the exhibition Holey, the artist David Bestué will give a lecture on the non-image, that which cannot or does not want to be an image, the resistance to being represented.

The session will continue with a talk between David Bestué and Marta Azparren, experimental filmmaker and author of the essay Cine ciego. A dialogue between the non-image and the blind image.

David Bestué (Barcelona, 1980) is an artist interested in the relationship between art and architecture. He has produced works on Enric Miralles, Viaplana y Piñón, El Escorial and the recent history of architecture and engineering in Spain. Another of his focuses of interest is the relationship between sculpture and language, visible in some of his exhibitions such as ROSI AMOR, at the Museo Reina Sofía (Madrid, 2017), Pastoral, at La Panera (Lleida, 2021) or Aflorar (Museo Jorge Oteiza, Pamplona, 2022). She has also curated several exhibitions, such as "El sentido de la escultura" at the Fundació Joan Miró (Barcelona, 2021).

Marta Azparren is a visual artist. She moves between experimental film, live art and drawing. Her work proposes a meta-reflection on artistic activity with special attention to the connections between the creator, the spectator, the work of art and the internal machinery of mediation, production and exhibition. The gaze is also directed at the non-visual in the visual, the absent, the discarded. He has recently published the essay Cine ciego, which investigates the relationship between scopic, aesthetic and political regime changes and the interruption of the flow of images, specifically the image without image.
