Iconofàgia: l’era de les fotografies voraces

The artist, educator, critic, curator, and historian Joan Fontcuberta will give a lecture on the concept of iconophagy and Baitello Junior's four devourings, followed by a subsequent dialogue with the attendees.

Joan Fontcuberta (Barcelona, 1955) has had a diverse career in the field of photography as a creator, educator, critic, exhibition curator, and historian. He has been a visiting professor at universities in Spain, France, Great Britain, and the United States, and regularly collaborates with specialized publications. His work has been exhibited in museums worldwide and has been acquired by numerous public collections. In 2013, he received the Hasselblad Award, and in 2022, he was awarded an honorary doctorate by the University of Paris VIII.
