Dance fly is based on the documentary project From knee to heart that was filmed between 2016 and 2018. The documentary portrays the life and trajectory of the dancer Sol Picó, winner of 10 Max Awards for the Performing Arts, as well as the National Dance Award of the Generalitat of Catalonia in 2004 and the National Dance Award 2016, awarded by the Ministry of Culture.

This exhibition consists of frames extracted from all the filming material of the documentary and is divided into different thematic axes: everyday life, the rehearsals and the company and photographs of some of the shows, such as One hit wonder, where she recreates some of the most iconic scenes of her career, Dancing with frogs or We women. Beyond the style of Sol, made of sudden and broken movements, every show comes from the same essence. The strength of her movements, but also the delicacy of the rhythmic changes of her dance, form a very personal language that links contemporary dance to elements of other fields, and thus creates an iconography of her own with an ever present sense of humour. This project vindicates women in general and Sol as a pioneer of a generation of female artists and dancers. It vindicates the woman's body in all its forms, movements and grieves. It celebrates, above all, art made by women.
