In continuation with the incitation by Regina de Miguel to explore aurality along Aura Nera, from the zone of research and learning started by Infra- around the politics inscribed in infrastructures, we are determined to wonder about the mode in which sound technologies often relegate certain sounds to a threshold of subalternity. We inquire, hence, about those sounds that are erased, minimized or ignored by a frecuency that hides a regime of sound out of which there is a need to dissent and intervene. A regime of sound that silences disonant memories and forgets the act of listening as one of mumbling, as one of ontological indeterminacy. To do that, the research proposal o f Infra-'s 4th Zone is to collectively build our own infrastructure to attend, register, remediate and transmit sounds.

Participants will be asked to read Karen Barad's “What Is the Measure of Nothingness? Infinity; Virtuality; Justice”: a text that will work as the  shared basis for the activity, which is twofolded

1. Radio workshop (requires inscription!: maximum 10 participants → email infra@xarxazande.net). Location: Espai Dinamo: C/Molí 1 Local 3 (next to Pl. Ángel Pestaña). Prosperitat. Nou Barris.

The workshop is based on the construction of a kit that will allow receiving radio frequencies of natural origin, for it a kit will be provided to the assistants. This Kit is composed of an electronic device DIWO (signal receiver) and an Antenna. During the workshop, we will build together both devices. A recommended number of attendees range from 5 to 10.

* Day 15: introduction and assembly of the DIWO kit (do it with others).

* Day 16: building the antenna.

* Day 17: building transmitter/receiver radio. Fild trip, output for capturing, listening and recording of natural frequencies

1. Safari of subaltern sounds (unlimited and free entry). Location: TBC.

Saturday 17 (16h to 20h): capture, listening and recording of natrual frequencies.
