'Target audience' by Daniela Ortiz reflects on the parameters of the media's objectivity when disseminating news about migration policies and the human tragedies that they cause. The artist is always interested in uncovering and disclosing the interests hidden behind the official news, and seeks to highlight the contradictions at the heart of globalization and the legal framework of today's geopolitical boundaries, which on one hand promote regions of free circulation with no tariff barriers, and on the other intensify migratory controls using mechanisms of repression. These mechanisms begin with the complex system of administrative procedures that foreign newcomers are subjected to, and culminate in police raids, forced detentions in immigration detention centres and mass deportations.
 
 
Shots in the middle of the concert. From the appropriate distance to proximity is a programme of exhibitions based around the work of six artists who aim to take a critical look at the reality around them, at the same time as wishing to reduce the distance between themselves and the issues they raise in their projects, so that they take centre stage and one way or another adopt a position by means of their involvement.
