The proposal has been conceived as a commented concert.
First of all, Luciano Berio's Sequenza V for trombone will be performed. Then, some aspects of the work will be commented on and a space for dialogue with the audience will be opened. Finally, the piece will be performed again, allowing a new listening with a perspective enriched by the shared dialogue.
Gerard Costes.
Born in Amposta (1980), he began his musical studies at ‘La Lira Ampostina’. He studied at ESMUC with Ricardo Casero and Daniel Lassalle. In 2004 he received a scholarship to the Royal College of Music in London, where he graduated with honours, and in 2006 he studied a postgraduate course at the Hochschule für Musik Hannover with Jonas Bylund. He has collaborated with orchestras such as the OBC, the Liceu, Klangforum Wien and the RCM Symphony Orchestra of London, among others. Awarded in several competitions, he has performed as a soloist and given masterclasses all over Europe. Since 2012 he has been principal trombone of MusicAeterna.
