Dimecres de so i cos

Algo Poroso (Something Porous) is a performance experiment of improvised sound and movement by Ariadna Torner (violin), Joan Cot (electronic music) and the dancers Anna Fontanet, Iver Zapata and Glòria Ros, based on their collective research work.

A proposal that explores other forms of relationship - subtle, unexpected, undirected - that arise from the coexistence of materials and the decision making of the performers, testing the affectations and resonances between the formal and the subtle.

Algo Poroso explores the compositional complexities and the sensitive and relational potentials of this group of artists' particular way of understanding improvisation. A space where indeterminacy, liminality, concreteness and singularity seek to cohabit.

Anna Fontanet
Independent dancer, creator and artist based in Barcelona. Her creations revolve around active listening, instant composition and the creation of self-generative instruments. Intertwining digital and movement arts in performative and choreographic dialogue. She is driven by curiosity and instinct.

Glòria Ros
Dancer trained in Barcelona and France. She works in Holland and Ireland both in companies and with independent creators of the European contemporary scene. She collaborates with dancers and musicians in artistic research and creations around improvisation.

Iver Zapata
Dancer, perfomer and creator. He researches on bodies infiltrated in queer and ecofeminist theories, imagining other ways of being in the world. He wants to question the narrative and dramaturgical limits of the body, and the creative potentials of research, practice and new formats.

Ariadna Torner
Ariadna Torner, classically and contemporarily trained, explores the sound possibilities of the violin beyond conventional techniques. Her activity is focused on performance, research and creation, free improvisation and interdisciplinary projects.

Joan Cot
Composer, producer and music director with a degree in music composition from the UK, where he trained in classical-contemporary composition and free improvisation. He works mainly on performing arts projects and his music is developed within the field of experimental electronics. He is interested in contemporary art and interdisciplinarity.
