"Can't Define Me"
Activity open to all and free of charge with a limited capacity of 55 people
"Can't Define Me" is a sound experience where sound becomes the vehicle for a decolonial exploration. In this activity the space will be transformed into an immersive stage where layers of sound will act as the common thread of this journey, weaving connections between the past, the present and the future. Going beyond the sound space, decolonial narratives will be interwoven, stories that challenge power structures and question hegemonic narratives. Through short narrative interventions, we will seek to open up a space for critical reflection, offering perspectives that challenge imperial notions and promote a deeper understanding of history and identity, creating a space of connection, resistance and redefinition.
Raised in the early 1990s between Africa and Europe, now based in Barcelona, Sarah Bougsiaa, known artistically as serahboo.m, is a multifaceted artist whose practice includes music, photography, film and textiles, through which she explores a consciousness rooted in decolonial ways of thinking, with the aim of recovering narratives lost in dominant and repressive ideologies.
