Dimecres de so i cos

Sound moon is a plastic-sound project, a continuation of previous experiences of musical improvisation with live drawing.

The artist Joma paints, percussing with his hands, on a drum kit with water and pigment, totally integrated into the musical group. The result is captured by a camera inside the drum kit and projected as a large sphere on one of the walls of the room.

An imposing hypnotic disc, like a great planet, presides over the performance as another voice.

JOMA: visible percussion

Miquel Jordà: saxophone, electronics and infra-instruments.

Josep Maria Rius Ortigosa, JOMA (Barcelona, 1954)
With a degree in Information Sciences and studies at the Escuela de Artes y Oficios de Barcelona, he has oriented his work towards graphic humour and illustration, both in the press and in the publishing field. He has produced visual poems and sculptural compositions as a corporeal continuation of the world he has been building with his drawings.
He is currently working on a wide-ranging project of plastic and visual recreation of the Homeric world - with the Odyssey at its centre - which he combines with collaborations in the press.
