Movimiento (Movement) is the start of a new research project with performer Nona Siepmann, in which together they explore the ways in which digital interaction can influence their body language.
By using a generative code projected in real time onto the performer's movement, they are able to establish new gestures and narratives from the way the dancer and the interactive system coexist.
By exploring the intersection of performing arts, sound and technology, they can create a piece that brings a new perspective to a still developing area.
By using technology as a means to sound and visualise the movement of the performers, synaesthetic design plays a key role in the composition, as it is at this point that they can better understand and explore whether it is the performer who learns to move in balance with the interactive system, or vice versa.

Collaboration: Akyute
Akyute is an artistic duo driven by Natalia Gima and Magdalena Har. They have been based in Barcelona since 2019.
In their practice they use technology as a tool to reconnect that human experience, integrating nature into the digital age, unifying interactive experience design, audiovisual arts and generative sound.
Akyute was founded on a collective vision: where interaction is organic and very much alive, humanity is responsive and communication between species is fluid with co-founder Miriam Felici (2019).
