Ángel Faraldo: Table and Objects
Activity open to all and free of charge with a limited capacity of 55 people
Table and Objects is a series of works that use feedback processes to explore the sonic properties of everyday objects and materials (such as cardboard boxes, jars or cups). The term "table" refers both to the input-free (feedback) mixer that is used to produce sound, and to the table where objects are placed and manipulated, acting as amplifying bodies.
The pieces in this series can be compared to the theme of still life in baroque painting, which presents arrangements of objects in carefully composed environments, providing opportunities for the study of form, colour and balance. In the same way, each piece in Table and Objects explores a particular combination of objects, structure or performative routine.
