Dimecres de so i cos

A piece of somatic distillation that develops into an exploration of movement, voice and sound.

With Malén Iturri.

"Crura" is a piece of somatic distillation that develops in an exploration of movement, voice and sound. Spongy temporality that softens everything underneath the tongue, the underneath of the underneath from and towards a primitive back [digestion - evacuation - swallowing]. Finding resistance in slowness and dark humidities, "body" more than human in a relational state of very dense fluidity.

Malén Iturri is an artist and researcher. Her curiosity unfolds around somatic practice, feminist and queer thoughts, the study of movement and scenic creation, while she immerses herself in sonic experimentations and electronic music composition with the project Mímbere.

Graduated in Fine Arts at the Universitat Politècnica de València and graduated from the Master in Scenic Practice and Visual Culture (UCLM-ARTEA-MNCARS) in Madrid and from the Master in Cultural and Artistic Studies with Feminist and Queer Perspectives [MUECA] at the UMH. She is finishing the certified training in Somatic Movement Education (SME) and Infant Developmental Movement Education (IDME) of Body-Mind Centering® with Atlas Movement.

From a hybrid artistic practice, she is currently researching on body, movement and sound and collaborating in several collective performance and improvisation projects.
