FLUX SUMMA: DIGITAL NIGHTS
Screening and discussion
With the presence of Núria Antentas.
Digital Nights was a cycle of electronic arts that took place in Vic for 13 editions, from 2003 to 2015. Organised by Victrixmedia and directed by Núria Antentas (co-directed by Cristina Casanova in the first four editions), it took place in different venues in the city, mainly Jazz Cava, the Theatre Institute, the Casino and ACVIC. It also took place in a wide variety of other venues, ranging from the Back Room to the Parroquia del Remei, depending on the needs of the proposals.
It was a cultural dynamo of the first order and a point of reference on the Catalan scene, based on risky proposals that could be concerts, screenings, presentations, colloquiums, performances, workshops, audiovisual performances, installations, interactive proposals, sound actions, etc.
As they defined themselves, it was a cycle stitched together with a common thread of digitalised expression, concerned with showing the interfaces of the creators of the moment. Artistic interactivity, sound manipulation, journalistic analysis, digital cinema, poetic fungibility and literary design. With the imperative demand to find ways of expression that wear out any stability.
In this session we will watch a video with a selection of the artists participating in the thirteen editions of the cycle between 2003 and 2015.
