Maria Castan de Manuel
Filmmaker and film editor based in Barcelona. As a filmmaker she works in the field of experimental and found-footage; she has made and edited essay pieces for artists or institutions such as the CCCB, Bòlit Girona or Matadero de Madrid. As an editor, she has worked on films by filmmakers such as Albert Serra and Mercedes Álvarez. She has been trained at the UPF in Editing and Film Theory, as well as in the feminist creation laboratory of La Bonne, and the laboratory of film criticism from feminist epistemologies of the UPV/EHU. She is an active member of AMMAC.
