Reorganitzar la cinefília: reflexions des de l'assaig visual

Do films made by women and other dissident identities require particular interpretative scenarios? Are the theoretical sources that constitute the pillars of modern film universities sufficient to analyse these cinemas created from dissidence? Is it necessary to construct a new academic language that helps us to analyse and think about these filmographies? We have explored possible answers to all these questions through the process Reorganising cinephilia: Reflections from the visual essay, in which we aspire to open a fissure in the university curriculum to think together with the students about the filmographies made by women.

Using the visual essay, a format with a certain amount of experience but so far with little recognition within the academy, the resulting pieces give continuity to the reflections on which interpretative scenarios allow a rigorous analysis of films made by women to emerge. 

The session will be attended by the students who have performed the pieces.
