PROPOSTA is an international poetry festival dedicated to contemporary poetic practices, especially the most daring and borderline ones, which deeply marked the poetic life of the city of Barcelona during the five years of its existence (2000-2004).
It was organised by propost.org and directed by the poet Eduard Escoffet. It was presented in December 2000 at the Centre de Cultura Contemporània de Barcelona and five editions were produced, all at the CCCB. Under the name of poetry or polypoetry, it offered performances that went beyond the conventional recital, combining poetry with other disciplines such as music, image, dance and performance. Poetry that moved from the historical avant-garde to digital poetry. It emphasised internationalisation and networking, as well as connections between poets and audiences, with the aim of floating especially the hybridisations and combinations between poetry and other artistic disciplines.

In this session we will watch a video with a selection of performances from the five editions of the festival between 2000 and 2004.
