Existing as memory = Existing as film
Activity open to everyone and free of charge, limited to 55 people
Through a commented screening of short films, works in progress and shots-notes for future projects, New Voices New Futures invites us to immerse ourselves in the archive of this collective, which seeks to generate a creative home for filmmakers of African descent.
During Existing as memory = Existing as film we will reflect on the consumption and production of audiovisuals and on our potential to become active agents in the creation of memory, of history. In this session we will carry out an exercise of collectivisation of the visual: what does it mean to remember, what implication do films have on our memories, how do we create new memories, i.e. new films?
