THE COLONIAL MIRROR - Six confluences in time 2
Activity open to all and free of charge with a limited capacity of 55 people
A study consisting of six publications in Desorg dot Org and six video sessions that will take place in Tuesdays of video at the Santa Mónica in Barcelona during the year 2023, derivations of six key conceptual axes of the thematic content of the Unidentified Video Observatory between the years 1994 and 2020. Six confluences in time is part of "Archive Readings", an ongoing project at Desorg dot Org.
THE COLONIAL MIRROR
A lecture and a contrasting video program, based on the conceptual axis of the OVNI research project: "The Colonial Dream _ Autonomous Zones" produced and presented in 2006. It briefly contextualizes the issue of the border in a fragile and finite world in the year 2023.

An Archives research and edit on several audiovisual documents from various sources dealing with the old Spanish colony of Equatorial Guinea, most of it created for information and educational purposes. Images that illustrate the colonial obsessions of the times: the idyllic image of Spain's civilizing task, nostalgia for imperial times, the sadistic element in the hunt for wild animals, the work of Christianisation, the militarization of a layer of the population in order to ensure the existence of “loyal natives”, the perpetuation of the African stereotype.
