Higo Mental #23: arxivística, terminis i condicions

Taking as a starting point Cardón cardinal by Patricia Esquivias and (Auto)Exposiciones, by Florencia Aliberti as exercises in which archival practice and the internet are key to constructing a narrative, session #23 of Higo Mental, "archivistics, terms and conditions" will think about the archive, appropriation, repetition and other languages and characteristics of the imaginaries of the internet and platform capitalism.

Higo Mental (Ricardo Pérez-Hita Carrasco and Marta Sesé Fuentes) is a feminist interpretation project of audiovisual material usurped from the internet that has been active since 2014. A videological dialogue between two people in which the alternation of materials creates a critical narrative that questions the hegemonic system of representation. It moves away from the lecture format and seeks to be, at the same time, a space for reflection and entertainment where audiovisual productions are put on the table to reactivate and debate them together. During this session, the ambiguous and incalculable internet archive will be put into dialogue with the taxonomies of the Hamaca archive.
