Semolina is the artistic name of Julijana Tomic Fajdetic, creator and multidisciplinary artist born in 1966 in Osijek, Yugoslavia, today Croatia, and resident in Barcelona since 1985. Between 1986 and 1994 she was the drummer of the hardcore punk band Poppins, with whom she recorded three albums. At the same time she performed alone and in collaboration with other artists. Between 1995 and 2003 she was an actress, choreographer and creator in La Fura dels Baus, although in 1999 she had already created her own company: Semolina Tomic.

In 2003 she founded Antic Teatre. Espai de creació, a vital space for the city's alternative scene, which she has led ever since. And in 2016 she began an important international and national tour with the company Societat doctor Alonso with the show Anarchy, in which she is the protagonist. Currently most of his efforts are concentrated on the production and distribution of young artists and Antic Teatre, as well as on the common front of struggle in the Grassroots Culture movement, the PMCCB (Citizen Parliament of Culture of Barcelona) and the Observatory of Metropolitan Culture of Barcelona.
