Conversation between tissues
TRAMA: Community Learning Laboratory
TRAMA is a community learning laboratory designed with the aim of proposing playful and transversal ways for critical reflection on the problems that are at stake at the local level. In collaboration with the Surt Foundation, a group of women has been formed to work through art on issues that affect them, such as migration and gender violence.
The group has been meeting once a week since the end of March, exploring different means of artistic expression such as photography, video, writing and drawing. Recently it has been exploring the art of weaving, dedicating time to deepening our understanding of this medium through learning the methodology of other artists and also teaching each other from our intimate relationship between water and thread.
In the TRAMA podcast episodes, we seek to crystallise in words what we explore through our hands and our bodies. In this case we will talk about those conversations that arise between weavings, those recurring themes that we talk about when we are concentrating on embroidering together, when our hands are busy.
