Jaume Pont writes poetry in search of the inexplicable, and Pau Vadell investigates the darkest questions. They are two poets with a career that speaks for itself, multi-awarded with some of the most prestigious awards (Vicent André Estellés, Carles Riba, Serra d'Or, Jocs Florals...).

Jaume Pont (Lleida, 1947) is a Catalan professor, poet and literary critic with a long and renowned career. A graduate in philosophy and literature, he has been professor of literature at the University of Lleida. He has received awards such as the Vicent Andrés Estellés Prize in Poetry (1982); the Critics' Serra d'Or Prize in Poetry (in 1991 for Raó d'atzar and in 1997 for Vol de cendres); the Critics' Prize in Catalan Poetry (2000, for Llibre de la frontera); and the Carles Riba Prize for Enlloc (2006). For World Poetry Day 2015 he wrote the poem "Illa Escrita" (Written Island), translated into many languages.

Pau Vadell (Calonge, Mallorca, 1984) is a poet, translator, cultural manager and historian. He has published some fifteen titles of poetry, many of them award-winning, such as Traït (Senyoriu Ausiàs March Prize 2015), Esquenes vinclades (Jocs Florals in Barcelona 2017), Terra llarga (2019) and Cremen desordres (2023). He has recited his work at festivals and events in Germany, Serbia, Croatia, Palestine, Mexico, Italy, where his poems have been published. He is actively involved in social and cultural movements in the Catalan Countries and has been coordinator of the Committee of Persecuted Writers of PEN Català (2013-2014), vice-president of AELC in the Balearic Islands (2017-2021). He currently directs AdiA Ediciones and coordinates the activities of Casa Blai Bonet.
