Crema l’argelaga, with Sònia Moya, Lu Rois and Santi Careta
Activity open to all and free of charge with a limited capacity of 55 people
Gorse is yellow and burns strongly. Like everything that makes us move. Sex and the enjoyment of the body. Thirst. Love. Daring. Understanding each other. And that which burns, lives and dies. That is why we also live in sadness, in drought, in incomprehension, in fear.
Crema l'argelaga crosses all these spaces to create a universe of music and words.
Sònia Moya provides the texts and the voice. Lu Rois and Santi Careta, the music, from all its possibilities. And the fire is provided by all of them.
Sònia Moya: texts and reading
Lu Rois: keyboard and voice
Santi Careta: guitars and voice

With the participation of Sònia Moya, Lu Rois and Santi Careta
Sònia Moya has been teaching since 2005 and since then she has been investigating, inside and outside the classroom, the study of the word as a tool for social transformation. In this sense, she has been collaborating with the Cicle Tocats de Lletra de Manresa since 2008, and has coordinated various poetry reading clubs since 2013. Convinced that poetry has to change the world, she works for its understanding and enjoyment as a teaching tool from a triple perspective: with the students themselves, with other teachers (Plan Lector del Bages Sur, teacher training) and with poetic interventions in primary and secondary schools. She has published Gramàtica de l'equilibri (Galerada, Amadeu Oller Poetry Prize 2010), Plutó (Témenos, 2015, Mossèn Narcís Saguer Prize 2014), Intersecció de conjunts (Témenos, Lai Collection, 2017), Càntara (Témenos, Lai Collection, 2018) and Silur (Meteora, 2019, Narcís Lunes i Boloix Poetry Prize 2018). She lives poetry in a holistic way, and for this reason she has worked with music professionals such as Pau Ruiz, Celeste Alías, Santi Careta, María Di Pace, Àlex Reviriego, Manel Fortià, Magalí Sare and Marta Roma, plastic arts professionals such as Txema Rico, Quim Moya, Mariona Vilaseca and Gill Bradley, and dance professionals such as Maria Ribera, Laura Bataller and Mònica Vergés. Some of her work has been translated into Spanish, Greek and Portuguese.
Lu Rois is a composer, pianist and singer with a degree in Art History and Musicology. She debuted in 2014 with the album "Camí del far". Shortly after, she released the EP "Cau de lluna" and her second full-length album, "Clarobscur" (2017). In 2020 she released her latest work, "Microcosmos", where Rois gravitates on motherhood and builds a new sound, soft and cosy, experimenting until diluting the piano in a sea of pedals and synthesizers, but always reserving the protagonism for the voice. In her latest single 'Luna Nueva' (2021) she introduces electronics into his music, as an announcement of the path he is currently exploring.
Throughout his career she has collaborated with other musicians such as Espaldamaceta, Edi Pou (Za!), Sara Fontán and Dj Tutu, and has toured with Joana Gomila, Núria Galvany and Santi Careta. In addition, she has linked her music with the poetry of David Caño and Roc Casagran, and lately they have echoed, together with David Fernández, the verses of Erri de Luca with the recital "La fuerza incendiaria de las velas" (The incendiary force of candles).
Santi Careta is studying higher education at the ESMUC. He is a member of groups such as Astrio, Folk Souvenir, Maria Rodés, Avore, Celeste Alías sings Montserrat Abelló and Ian Sala. At the same time he presents his album as a singer-songwriter "Els Ocells i l'Stereo". During the last few years he has performed in many of the clubs and festivals in the country, and has taken part in several tours in France, England, Germany, Norway, Russia, China, Sweden, Austria, Morocco...
He has an extensive discography both in the world of jazz and pop-rock, and has participated in groups such as Nonitz with Lee Konitz, Maria Schneider Big Band, Orquestra Simfònica del Vallès, Marc Parrot, Judit Neddermann, Karol Green, Bruno Oro, Anacrònics, 9Muses de Sergi Sirvent, Ballcock, Pësh, Marcel Casellas, Núria Graham, At Versaris, Dept, Brams.... In 2004 he studied in New York thanks to a grant awarded by the Generalitat de Catalunya. He currently teaches guitar and ensembles at the Professional Centre of the Conservatori del Liceu and is the director of the Talleres Musicals d'Avinyó.
