1, 2, 3, Operating with Gertrude Stein... is a lecture-performance based on a research carried out in 2023 on the notion of operation in performance, or as performance. This research takes as its subject of study some writings by the poet Gertrude Stein in order to analyse and extract what operates in them.

On this occasion we will take advantage of the invitation of the Open Group of Political Art GOAP, to think through the writings of Gertrude Stein and graphic materials, language games and performance of the latest works of Norberto Llopis Segarra, what would be the territory of action (or movements) in the arts. And it will be done in a ternary rhythm, to a power of 1, 2 and 3.

In the production phase the project received support from Festival TNT (Terrassa), Ajuntament de València, Espai Nyam Nyam and TEM (Valencia).

Trained in dance and philosophy, Norberto Llopis Segarra develops an artistic and thinking practice around the body, movement and performativity. This practice crystallises in various forms of writing, such as stage works, essays on artistic practices, performative lectures, installations and durational actions. Her current research is particularly interested in practice with and around the notion of operation in the performing arts.
