Laboratori ciutadà MORTALS (LIMINAL)

The citizen laboratory MORTALES (LIMINAL) wants to explore (with healing and humour) the attitudes and different ways of facing old age, the end-of-life process, accompaniment, death and mourning from the community.

The group will meet over five sessions to collectively explore various themes related to death.

The sessions are designed in a workshop format, where different themes will be proposed to be explored, in a group and individual way, through play, co-creation, conversation and reflection. No previous experience is necessary, just curiosity and a desire to share experiences.

The sessions will include dynamics, proposals and contributions from:

Maddalen Azkarate (palliative care nurse), Montse Cano (medium), Aura Ferrer (palliative care nurse), Albert Potrony (artist), Júlia Sánchez Cid (death activist and member of Som Provisionals) and Roser Sanjuan (cultural manager specialising in participatory processes).

Once the sessions are over, the materials generated by all of them will be turned into a card game that, in a playful way and in different spheres, will help to generate conversations about death.
