With the participation of Arsgames and Fuck Capitalism Jam
Activity open to everyone and free of charge
Videoludic Resistance: Cycle of talks on videogames and anti-capitalism is a meeting space in which, through two talks and a game session, the possibilities of videogames as a space for resistance or protest against the late capitalism in which we live will be explored.
From an external perspective to the industry, far from its neoliberal and consumerist visions, the first talk "The videoludic experience and the games to come" will be presented by "Arsgames", who will talk about the space of the ludic, and the videogame by extension, as an element of transformation and reflection. Afterwards, members of the association "Fuck Capitalism Jam" will explain their experience in the creation of a space for collaboration and cooperation between video game creators with a critical or anti-capitalist perspective, and the dynamics and tensions that are generated, in the talk "Video games and activism. Organising the “Fuck Capitalism Jam 2023".
Finally, three games that have been presented at the "Fuck Capitalism Jam" can be tested so that attendees can interact and play the interactive texts and create a space for reflection around them.
Activity promoted by Resistència VideoLúdica with Victor Rubio i Maturana
Fuck Capitalism Jam. David, Fernando and Javi are videogame developers. They are also addicted to game jams and allergic to capitalism. It had to happen.
